Classic Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

1 can (15 oz / 400g) chickpeas, drained & rinsed (or 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas)

3 tbsp tahini

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove
-
½ tsp ground cumin
-
½ tsp salt (to taste)
-
2–3 tbsp cold water (to adjust texture)
Directions
Add chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt to a food processor or blender.
Blend until creamy. Slowly add cold water, one spoon at a time, until smooth and fluffy.
Taste and adjust seasoning with more lemon or salt as desired.
Transfer to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with parsley or paprika.
